South Shore Line offering free rides to teachers

The South Shore Line announced that all teachers will get to ride the train for free from December 22-29.

In order to ride for free, teachers will need to present a valid school identification card.

“We want to show our appreciation this holiday season with this gift. Teachers work so hard all year to positively impact the lives of students in Northwest Indiana, South Bend, and Chicago. This is our way of saying thank you,” said Nicole Barker, Director of Capital Investment and Implementation for the South Shore Line.

The South Shore Line will continue to offer free weekday, eastbound train trips to all riders through the end of the 2022 year as well.
