South Shore Line will ban alcohol for certain summer events

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Shore Line, which traditionally allows alcohol consumption on board, has released a schedule of summer events during which they will prohibit alcohol on the train.
Below is a list of popular events taking place in Chicago this summer with dates and specific SSL alcohol restrictions.

| Lallapalooza | July 31 - Aug. 3 | No alcohol all day |
| Chicago Air and Water Show | Aug. 16-17 | No alcohol all day |
| Jazz Fest | Aug. 28-29 | No alcohol after 7 p.m. |
| Jazz Fest | Aug. 30-31 | No alcohol all day |
| Taste of Chicago | Sept. 5 | No alcohol after 7 p.m. |
| Taste of Chicago | Sept. 6-7 | No alcohol all day |
