Spaghetti dinner to be hosted in Elkhart for bullying-prevention organization

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Vine in Elkhart will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday at 8 p.m. for the bully-prevention organization, Rio’s Rainbow.

The organization was put together earlier this year following the death of 12-year-old Rio Allred, who committed suicide in March; a death which her mother claims was caused by the bullying Allred underwent at Northside Middle-School related to her alopecia. 

A $15 ticket to the fundraiser will cover dinner as well as a soft drink, with proceeds benefiting Rio’s Rainbow.

A silent auction and raffle will also take place.
