Speaker Series on the South Bend Watch Company
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Studebaker National Museum will be hosting a presentation on the South Bend Watch Company as part of their Studebaker Museum Speaker Series on Wednesday.
Starting at 1:30 p.m. at the museum(201 Chapin St.)’s Weikamp Auditorium, local history enthusiast Bill Stockton will present an overview of the historic company from its inception in 1902 to its failure in 1929.
After the talk, Stockton will also be present to examine and give estimates on original South Bend watches. Attendees are encouraged to bring watches from the original company if they want to learn the grade/model, size and the year they were made.
Admission to this event is $2 with all fees going to the Studebaker National Museum and The History Museum. Studebaker National Museum and Campus members receive free admission.
