Special investigator named in St. Joseph County Metro Homicide complaint

ST JOSEPH CO. Ind. -- The The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office just announced that they have contracted a former FBI agent to conduct an independent investigation into the matter of the allegations that Corporal Stilp, SBPD, made in his internal Officer's Report on May 11.

The Prosecutor's Office just announced that they have contracted a former FBI agent to conduct an independent investigation into the matter of the allegations that Corporal Stilp, SBPD, made in his internal Officer's Report on May 11.

The Prosecutor's Office stated in a press release to ABC 57 News that this is an "internal personnel investigation, limited in scope to this matter alone."

Once the investigation is complete, Steele's findings will be reported to the CMHU Board who will take "whatever action is deemed appropriate, based on the evidence in the report."
