Spend A Day on Main Street in Niles June 30th

NILES, Mich.-- Niles hosted the inaugural "A Day on Main Street".
From 10 pm to 4 pm June 30th Main Sreet was closed to traffic to allow for the event.
Early Saturday morning there was a jazzercise class,
followed by live music and culinary demonstrations.
But the feature presentation was "Orange You Glad You're Here" style show.
"A lot of little communities are having a tough time right now. So, we have to pull out all the stops, so to speak, and create things and reasons for people to come to events and shop local," said Christine Hoffman.
This is the first event of it's kind for Niles.
