Spring Plant Exchange this Saturday in Elkhart

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Michiana gardeners are invited to bring their extra seeds, bulbs, and perennials to River Preserve County Park on May 1 for a free plant exchange hosted by Elkhart County Parks.

Starting at 1 p.m., gardeners have the opportunity to swap plants with others to bring something new home.

Participants can bring as many plants to trade as they want but are asked to label their plants before coming. Plants brought to trade should be healthy and rooted in soil in a container.

The exchange will be at DeFries Gardens in the County Park in New Paris.

All participants are asked to wear a face masks and practice social distancing during the exchange.
