SR 331 to close for chip sealing

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- SR 331 between US 6 and US 30 will be closed for up to a week while Indiana Department of Transportation crews perform chip sealing.

Crews will begin the chip sealing process on Monday June 4.

Southbound drivers will be detoured east on US 6, south on SR 19 and west on SR25 to SR331.

Northbound drivers will be detoured east to SR25, north on SR19 and west on US 6 to SR 331.

Drivers on SR331 after the road is reopened are urged to use caution. There will be loose asphalt on the roadway, which can damage windshields or paint on vehicles following each other too closely.

When traveling on a recently chip-sealed road, INDOT recommends drivers slow down and allow additional space between vehicles.
