St. Clair’s Butcher Shoppe and Delicatessen to open in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind.—A local family is targeting a springtime opening for their new butcher shop and delicatessen in South Bend.
St. Clair’s Butcher Shoppe and Delicatessen run by husband and wife team, Nick and Hannah St. Clair, is set to open in spring of 2021 at 3601 Edison Road where the old Save-A-Lot used to be.
The butcher shop side of the business will offer custom cuts done "the old school way" as well as wholesale products for restaurants and pubs.
The delicatessen side will offer a line of signature sandwiches including New York pastramis, Reubens, Philly cheesesteaks and more.
Smoked briskets, bacon and rotisserie chickens are also among the items to be offered at the new shop.
"We're focused on how to make people successful at the dinner table. We want it to be a hangout for local foodies," business partner Robert Kolbe said.
The roughly 15,000 square-foot, full-service shop will also sell items like wine, aged cheeses, rubs and herbs and more.
In an effort to help out the community, the shop will also make donations and run events to support local police, fire and EMS workers.
