St. Joe advances to meet Penn in sectional final; other girls scores

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The St. Joe girls won the 3A state championship last season, but moving up to 4A has provided a new challenge this winter. After an opening-round win, the Lady Indians met a tough LaPorte squad in the semifinals.

St. Joe ultimately came away with a 55-40 victory, advancing to meet Penn in the sectional championship Saturday night.
