St. Joe County Parks: Fall Programs For Home School Families

This spring the St. Joseph County Parks invite home school families to explore the world of birds. Find out what makes a bird a bird, imagine that you are a bird during the migration game, and make a “bird food” snack.

Three programs will be offered:
Thursday, September 13, 2012: Birds
Thursday, October 11, 2012: Bird Migration
Thursday, November 8, 2012: Bird Adaptations

Each program runs from 10 to 11:30am. The programs will take place at Bendix Woods County Park in the Glenn Bauer Shelter. Cost for each program is $3.00/student.

Activities are geared toward children age five through ten although older and younger students are welcome to sign up as well.

Registration is required by the Tuesday prior to the program. To register or get directions, please call 654-3155.

Bendix Woods County Park is located on State Road 2 (Western Ave.), seven miles west of the US 20 Bypass in South Bend.
