St. Joseph County CARES to host suicide prevention training

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Knowing how to respond to concerns about suicide is the objective of safeTALK, a suicide prevention training course put on by St. Joseph County CARES. 

On Friday, May 26, community members are invited to attend the training at the South Bend Community Learning Center, located at 305 South Michigan Street. 

The training is open to anybody age 15 and older. 

The training will tackle how to raise and respond to concerns about suicide in various social settings. 

The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:00 p.m. 

There is no cost to participate in the program. 

SafeTALK is sponsored by the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction, as well as the Beacon Health System.
