St. Joseph County holding Drug Take Back Day on Saturday
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- If you have any unwanted prescription drugs you can drop them off at one of four sites for St. Joseph County's Drug Take Back Day, Saturday, October 14.
You can drop off unused or expired medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at any of the locations.
Organizers ask you to put the pills in a clear plastic bag.
There will be a drive-through where you can hand off your bag of pills to a volunteer.
They cannot accept liquids, creams or needles/sharps at this event.
The Take Back Day is a collaborative initiative between the Alcohol & Addictions Resource Center, The 525 Foundation, the Partnership for Education and Prevention of Substance Abuse, Indiana University South Bend, The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, the Drug Investigation Unit and the St. Joseph County Police Department.
The four drop off locations are:
- Penn Township Fire Department 13960 Jackson Road, Mishawaka
- Penn Township Fire Department 13750 McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka
- Harris Township Fire Department 12379 Anderson Rood, Granger
- IU South Bend Campus 1002 South Esther Street, South Bend
