St. Joseph County Police K9s receive body armor donation

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – St. Joseph County Police Department received a donation of body armor for their K9s Farkas and Odin. The vests are bullet and stab protective and come from non-profit Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
The body armor was sponsored by Lourdes Findley of Orlando, Florida and embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”.
Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is dedicated to providing protective vests to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies all over the U.S.
The non-profit was established in 2009 and has provided over 3,830 vests in that time, at an estimated value of $6.9 million.
