Saint Joseph High School Apologizes to Former Students

On Thursday, May 2nd the Saint Joseph High School Class of 2019 held its annual Senior Dinner. The purpose of the Senior Dinner is to solidify memories and to recognize members of the graduating class in an environment of camaraderie and good-natured humor.

This year’s senior dinner included a slideshow of former students. Event organizers sought to acknowledge them as having been part of the Class of 2019. Despite these intentions, the slideshow has caused emotional harm to the students and parents whose photographs were included.

Saint Joseph High School aspires to be a positive, joyful, welcoming, and supportive school community. The Senior Dinner on May 2nd failed to meet this standard. We regret the creation and inclusion of the slideshow in this year’s program, and deeply regret the harm it caused to our former students and their families. We extend a sincere apology to all those affected.
