St. Joseph High School donates over $5,000 to Center for the Homeless

St. Joseph High School in South Bend donated thousands of dollars to the Center for the Homeless, thanks to donations.

On March 21 and 22, the school hosted the first annual lock-in where 200 students spent 24 hours at a dance party inside the school with several other activities.

More than $5,000 was raised by students and staff.

On Thursday, they presented the check to South Bend’s Center for the Homeless.

Event organizer Billy Miller says the lock-in “was one of the few events that kids can say they truly enjoyed being within the school’s walls.”
