St. Joseph Public Schools update mask guidelines

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Students in St. Joseph Public Schools will no longer be required to wear masks beginning Friday, Superintendent Jenny Fee announced in a letter to staff and families on Thursday.

In alignment with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Service’s decision to end the mask requirement in indoor public settings, student, staff, and visitors will no longer be required to wear masks in St. Joseph Public Schools buildings.

Masks are still required on school buses.

Close contacts do not have to quarantine unless they show symptoms of COVID-19.

Families will be notified if their child is a close contact of someone who tests positive for COVID-19.
