Stamp Out Hunger: This Saturday

ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. -- It's that time of year again to stamp out hunger.

The Northern Indiana Food Bank is partnering with the U.S. Postal Service to curb the hunger problems our nation faces.

They say if every household in St. Joseph County gave two cans of food, they would hit their goal.

Unlike other food drives, this one is fairly simple.

"For a food drive, this is very simple, you go in your kitchen cupboard, your pantry, pull out some canned items, or go to the grocery store and buy some cereal that's on sale, all you have to do is pack it up.. and put it by your mailbox," said Marijo Martinec, Director of Community Impact.

The food bank's goal is to receive over 200,000-pounds of food this year.
