Stamping out hunger

MICHIANA -- Stamping out hunger, one canned good at a time!

Folks across Michiana set out their canned good donations Saturday for the US Postal Service's "Stamp Out Hunger" drive.

All of the canned goods collected by postal workers will be taken to the food bank to be sorted.

Those involved say they're excited to be involved in such an important cause.

"The main motivation for me is that I know what it's like to be hungry and it's a pain that's not very pleasant, and anything that I can do to help feed people is important." said food drive coordinator, Kevin Strebinger.

Last year's drive collected 97,000 pounds.

And, this year, that record was broken!

This year's total, a whopping 128,696 pounds!
