Standoff ends peacefully in Elkhart County

ELKHART, Ind. -- A standoff between Elkhart deputies and a man armed with a gun inside a car ended peacefully.
It started just before 5 a.m. Tuesday at the Speedway gas station on State Road 19. Deputies were called to check out a man armed with a handgun inside of a car.
After nearly two hours, deputies took 24-year-old Marc McGuffy into custody.
McGuffy is currently at the Elkhart General Hospital for a 24-hour evaluation.
