Deputies respond to 911 call and find plethora of drugs and people inside

STARKE COUNTY, Ind. – Six individuals are held at Starke County Jail and two others in the hospital after deputies responded to a 911 call on Wednesday.
According to the Starke County Sheriff’s Department, a female called yelling for help around 2:15 a.m.
After deputies were able to gain entry into the home, they secured the occupants and reported finding drugs and paraphernalia.
Six of the people were arrested in the house and two others were taken to IU Starke Hospital for symptoms of overdose.
Deputies released the names and charges of the accused:
- Brian W. Woodard, 24, of Knox- Possession of heroin and visiting a common nuisance
- Briana Paulsen, 20, of North Judson- Possession of methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, and outstanding felony warrant
- David McKee, 39,of LaPorte- Possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of syringe, maintaining common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia
- Robin L. Shively Jr., 30, of Knox- Possession of methamphetamine, visiting common nuisance , possession of paraphernalia
- Tammy L.Taylor, 37 - Possession of methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia
- Julie Fulkerson, 32, of Highland- Possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and visiting a common nuisance
- Shane Hurt, 33, of North Judson- Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and visiting a common nuisance
SCSD is continuing to investigate this case.
