State panel selects new Chief Justice

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana has a new Chief Justice for the first time in 25 years.

On Tuesday, a state panel picked Brent Dickson for the State Supreme Court's top job.

The 70-year-old is the longest-serving member of the five-member court.

He was appointed back in 1986.

Dickson has been the Acting Chief Justice since Randall Shepard retired in March.
