State Representative dies at 69

NILES, Mich. -- There was a sad farewell to a local state representative who once attempted to vote over the internet while recovering from heart surgery.
69-year-old Tom Kromkowski from Niles died at 5 a.m. on Wednesday from prostate cancer at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, Mich.
Kromkowski represented South Bend in the General Assembly for 26 years.
He retired in 2006.
