State Road 8 closed over Kankakee River beginning April 4

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – S.R. 8 will be closed between C.R. 300 W and S.R. 39 beginning on or after April 4, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.
The road will be closed for about three weeks for a bridge deck overlay project.
The official detour will follow U.S. 421, U.S. 30, and S.R. 39.
