Statewide Silver Alert cancelled for Indiana woman

PORTAGE, Ind. -- A statewide Silver Alert has was issued for a woman from Portage, Indiana on Sunday evening. 

The alert was cancelled by the request of the investigating agency. 

The original alert:

The Portage Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Rebecca Ann Horak, 55.

Officials said she was last seen in Portage on Sunday, April, 28 at 7 a.m. and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police released the following description of Horak:

  • 5 feet 5 inches tall

  • Brown hair with blue eyes

  • Has a faded rose tattoo on her calf

  • Last seen wearing a black coat with brown fur around the hood and black and white checkered slippers

  • Goes by Ann
