Steak 'n Shake fire started in deep fryer

The Mishawaka Fire Department says the fire at the Steak 'n Shake on Douglas Road Monday morning started in the deep fryer.
The fire started around 5:30 a.m.
The fire caused significant damage and the restaurant will need repairs before it can reopen.
The investigation has not been completed.
There were no injuries in the fire.
