ELKHART, Ind. -- As the winter season is quickly approaching, one local business is making sure everyone stays warm this season.
Stephenson's of Elkhart is hosting a coat drive and it's running now until Saturday, Dec. 14. In addition to coat donations, monetary contributions are also welcome and will be sent directly to church community services.
Coats can be dropped off at Stephenson's during their regular store hours Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stephenson's of Elkhart Manager Lily Miller says the drive is the boutique's way of saying thank you and giving back to the community that has supported them for nearly a century.
"We feel that the coat drive is a really great way to give back to this community. They supported us in so many ways over the years. We really like this opportunity to help those who may need a little jumpstart, especially as things get to be a little colder. Everything is so expensive these days. If we're able to help by providing them with some warmer weather clothing, we feel like that makes all the difference in the world," Miller said.
