CASS COUNTY, Mich. --Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Department were involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit on May 30th, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m.

This pursuit went from Calvin Township to Penn Township and was discontinued when the suspect drove through a field near Brownsville Road. 

The vehicle was located again in the 64000 block of Day Lake Road, and it drove into another field before the suspect fled into a wooded area on foot. 

The suspect was tracked through the wooded area and located in a creek, around half a mile away from the vehicle in the field. 

The 22-year-old male was arrested for fleeing to elude, resisting and obstructing, along with possession of stolen property and possession of meth. 

The suspect's name is currently being withheld pending arraignment.
