Storm damage creates power outages in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – Over 1,000 people are out of electricity in Kosciusko County after Friday’s storms swept through.

According to Kosciusko’s Rural Energy Management Cooperative, complete restoration times are unknown.

Initially, there were 3,000 residents impacted by the outages.

High winds created fallen trees, considerable damage, and power outages with down lines.

Kosciusko REMC wants to remind residents to stay away from downed power lines and that their crews will work through the night to restore power.
