Storm damage in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A storm blew through Michiana Tuesday leaving behind significant damage.
One resident says an oak tree crashed through his yard and missed his home by just a few feet.
"I'm pretty blessed that this is all that happened," said homeowner Brandon Sharp.
Gregory Hammond with Hammond Forestry tree services spent the day surveying damage.
Hammond says you should leave the cleanup to the professionals.
"A lot of people go out there with chainsaws and try to do it themselves. You should use somebody that’s a professional and make sure they’re insured," says Hammond.
