In Osceola, Mishawaka, and Goshen, several large trees were reported down, with some falling onto powerlines. Wind gusts exceeded 60 mph at times, strong enough to topple trees and damage power infrastructure. Similar damage was reported in multiple locations across Kosciusko County.
Residents are reminded never to attempt removing tree limbs from powerlines—always contact local emergency services for assistance. Emergency crews and community members worked quickly after the storms moved out, clearing debris from roadways in time for the morning commute.
Power restoration is also underway across Michiana, with hundreds of homes already regaining power. Thanks to the swift efforts of emergency crews, traffic was largely unaffected on major roads.
