Strong to severe storms moved through Michiana yesterday with some areas seeing significant damage, especially from straight line winds.
This was the case at Rochester High School where the football field scoreboard - which is held up by steel posts - was bent over with the top of the board touching the ground.
Portions of the scoreboard were thrown over 50 feet. Glass from lights was broken and metal sheets were torn from the face of the sign.

The scoreboard cannot be fixed, but will instead need to be replaced according the the Rochester Zebras Athletic Department. Fortunately, the scoreboard will not be needed for Friday's homecoming game, just the time clocks need to be up and running.
School was cancelled for all Rochester Public Schools students due to downed power lines and water over roads for many in the district.
