Scattered showers and storms are already making their way through areas north of US-30 this morning with heavy rain. After this round passes through, there is a chance for storms north of I-80 around noon with more likely tonight around 10pm. Strong to severe storms are most likely late this evening and tonight as there will be ample moisture and energy available to fuel the storms. Flooding from heavy rain and damaging winds are the main threats but small hail is possible as well.
Apart from today’s stormy weather, it is going to be a hot and humid day with a high of 90 and heat index near 100. We start to cool back down into the low 80s by Friday humidity breaking down for Saturday.
Wednesday: AM scattered storms, hot and humid, high 90, another round of storms late.
Tonight: Scattered storms, low 74.
Thursday: AM showers, mostly cloudy, high 84.
Friday: Mostly sunny, highs near 80.
