Stretch of Sample Street will close for maintenance work

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend has announced that a stretch of Sample Street will be closed beginning Tuesday for gas line maintenance work.
Sample Street will be closed from Mayflower Road to Ford Street until the end of the day on May 19, weather permitting.
Detour routes will follow Western Avenue via Chapin Street or Mayflower Road during this closure.
Access to all businesses in the impacted areas will be maintained through the duration of this closure.
