Student allegedly took BB gun to Nuner Fine Arts Academy

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The principal of Nuner Fine Arts Academy sent a letter to parents about a student who allegedly took a BB gun to school Wednesday morning.

The letter, from Principal Elizabeth Willkom, says the student got onto the bus with a BB gun in a backpack.

Other students reported it to school personnel when they arrived at school.

The student's locker and backpack were searched and police were called.

The student is now facing disciplinary action.

The principal commended the students who came forward with information.
