WEST CHESTER, Ohio. -- One Ohio teen is passing up an opportunity all to help take care of his family.
He is a decorated swimmer and had multiple scholarship offers to his dream colleges but he turned them all down.
His dad suffered a brain injury seven years ago and he chose a school and swimming program that will allow him to stay close to him.
"They've helped me become the young man that I am and helped me do the things I do in my life and I know I wouldn't be where I am without them," said Bryan McNamara.
Wednesday he signed with Miami of Ohio which is only an hour away from his home.
