Notre Dame men’s basketball invited fans back into Purcell Pavilion for the first time all season during Wednesday’s game against North Carolina State. The Fighting Irish opened the Murnane Ticket Office at 1 p.m. and were sold out within eight minutes.
Only 315 students were able to catch the game in person each being sat at an assigned seat number to ensure social distancing.
“This morning we had to pick up our tickets and we were the first ones in line. We’ve been watching at home and in the dorm for the last couple of months and we were really excited to come back,” said Timmy Gallagher, Notre Dame student.
Fans will be allowed to come in to support the team against Florida State University this Saturday.
Tickets will be available on a first-come first-serve basis later this week.
