Students volunteer to help familes in need

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Some students in Mishawaka are making sure every family in their community has a special Thanksgiving holiday this season.

The Mayor's Youth Council announced a massive food drive campaign. All donations will go right back to Mishawaka families struggling to put food on the table.

Last year, city employees did the work, now these students are calling upon all residents to help each other out.

"It is so great we are helping all of the families that don't get to have a Thanksgiving and it's a time to celebrate and it's amazing to help people in need so that they can help our community as well," said Mayor's Youth Council Grace Gebo.

If you would like to help out and donate food or money you can do so at any Mishawaka City Building including the fire departments, City Hall, and police station.
