Sturgis man accused of assaulting 77-year-old man

STURGIS, Mich. -- A 67-year-old Sturgis man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 77-year-old man causing serious injuries, according to Sturgis Police.
Monday afternoon, police were called to the 1200 block of E. Chicago Road to investigate an assault.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 67-year-old man had assaulted a 77-year-old man from Jonesville.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The 67-year-old was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of felonious assault.
The suspect's name has not been released.
