Sturgis Police arrest shooting suspect on multiple firearm charges
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. – Sturgis Police received a call just before 3 p.m. on Sunday about shots fired within the 200 block of N. Prospect St. Witnesses said an individual had shot several times near a group of people that he was previously arguing with.
After speaking to the victims and witnesses, Officers were able to identify the suspect.
Shortly after, Officers located the suspect in the 300 block of Devonshire along with the firearm.
A 21 year old Hispanic male was arrested and put into the St. Joseph County jail.
The suspect is currently awaiting arraignment on the charged of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and brandishing a firearm.
