Success Academy holds ribbon cutting ceremony

Success Academy held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday to commemorate its opening.

The academy is a tuition-free K - 6 public charter school in South Bend focused on STEM education.

The school is on Ardmore Trail south of the airport.

The school will partner with Honeywell to promote education focused on STEM principles and interactive learning.

School officials hope their students will be the next generation of engineers in South Bend.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Indiana Governor Mike Pence attended the event.
