Suspect arrested for Saturday shooting at South Bend fast food restaurant
UPDATE: Cy Clark Jr. was sentenced on Aug. 19, 2025, for Battery with Moderate Bodily Injury, a Level 6 Felony, after entering a plea agreement.
Clark was sentenced to 1 year and 183 days with 85 days of jail credit and suspended for 1 year and 98 days.
The charge of Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon was dismissed.
ORIGINAL STORY: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports a suspect has been arrested and charged in relation to a weekend shooting outside a South Bend fast food restaurant.
Police say Saturday, shortly after 4 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Ireland Road on a reported shooting.
Officers arrived to find one victim, a man, who was then taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say through their investigation and the processing of evidence, a suspect was identified and arrested near the scene.
Monday, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Cy Clark Jr.
Clark is charged with Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon.
SBPD's Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate.
Clark is currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
