Suspect named, charged in alleged Trail Creek stabbing

The Indiana State Police are investigating an alleged stabbing death in Trail Creek involving a Samurai Sword. 

A preliminary investigation says at 12:57 p.m. Sunday, Trail Creek police got a 911 call about a verbal altercation taking place at 105 Hummingbird Drive. 

During the conversation, someone yelled that it had turned into a stabbing. 

Trail Creek Police arrived at the home and found the victim, 54-year-old Thomas Arndt, lying on the front lawn with numerous wounds. 

A sword was found stuck in the ground nearby.

Arndt was taken to Saint Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City, where he later died.

Police have arrested suspect Bradley Arndt, 47 years old and the brother of Thomas. 

Police have charged Bradley with murder and he's currently in the LaPorte County Jail.
