SWAT activated after woman injured, no arrests made

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police were called to a home on Main Street Wednesday morning and found an injured woman in the driveway.

Police had been called to the home for a burglary at 11:25 a.m.

After finding the woman with facial injuries, police spoke with a subject by phone. They believed the subject was inside the home, but refused to come out.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police activated the St. Joseph County Metro SWAT to assist in serving a warrant at the home.

When the search warrant was served, the man was not inside the home.
