ELKHART, Ind. - The SWAT team responded to a situation in the 600 block of W. Lexington Avenue Monday afternoon, according to the Elkhart Police Department.
According to police, the situation started shortly after 2 p.m. as police were serving a warrant on a person in the area.
The man was eventually taken into custody on outstanding warrants when SWAT was activated.
Police are working on reopening any roads that were closed during the incident.
There is no immediate danger to the public.
