SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The State Farm Neighborhood Assist program has granted the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County’s Sweet Dreams Ministry with $25,000 to help provide beds for children.
Sweet Dreams Ministry builds beds for kids between the ages of three and 17 who currently live without a mattress or are sleeping with an unsuitable bed.
The grant is enough to produce nearly 120 new mattresses, bed frames, pillows, sheets, comforters and a hand-made blanket.
437 beds have been given to children in need since 2017.
