Light lake effect flurries continue the rest of this morning while staying close to the shoreline and causing slick roads/low visibility. Temperatures peak near 20F, but wind chills stay in the single digits all of today. In preparation for heavier and more widespread snow tonight, a winter weather advisory will go into effect at 4 PM EST for northern La Porte, St. Joseph (IN), Berrien, and Cass Counties. Travel on Thursday morning, especially in the snow belt where some areas may see +6," may be impacted by near whiteout conditions and slick roads. Snow gradually tapers off the rest of Thursday and skies turn mostly cloudy but quiet Thursday night. High temperatures keep climbing towards the 30s this weekend with sunnier skies ahead. We will reach the 40s next week for a milder stretch of upcoming weather
