Target customer's generosity sparks similar acts of kindness

SHERWOOD, Ore. -- A stranger's act of kindness set off a chain reaction of similar acts of kindness.

At a Target store in Oregon, a customer's credit card was denied. Her $161 bill was quietly paid by a stranger.

That generosity inspired that customer, so she gave a $20 bill to the next person in line.

Those next customers were teenage girls who passed on yet another unprompted donation, creating a domino effect.

"I will always remember her, and she has no idea the impact she made on how many people, she just has no idea," Debora Durall said.

The first customer shared her story on Facebook and it has since gone viral, prompting even more donations.
