Teen accused of striking classmate at school

ELKHART, Ind. – A teenager was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly fighting another student at Elkhart Community Schools’ Freshman Academy, the Elkhart Police Department reported.
An officer was called to the academy at 11:01 a.m. for a report of a fight.
A witness said she heard two students yelling in a nearby room and when she went into that room, she saw a girl striking another girl several times, according to reports.
The 15-year-old girl was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
