Teen convicted of killing his stepgrandfather denied new trial

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Dakotah Eliason, convicted of killing his stepgrandfather back in 2010 was denied a new trial.
The teenager filed an appeal after being found guilty of first degree murder.
He said his then attorney provided ineffective assistance.
A Berrien County trial judge ruled on Tuesday that was not the case.
